Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Districtwide Itinerant Teacher for the Visually Impaired is sought
to provide specialized instruction for students across grades K-12.
This position is 32.5 hours per week, fully onsite, and located in
Spring, TX. The role requires a dedicated educator licensed as a
Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TX TVI). Responsibilities
Include: Delivering tailored instruction and support to visually
impaired students in grades K-12 across multiple schools
districtwide. Collaborating with general education teachers,
parents, and support staff to ensure student success. Assessing
student needs and developing individualized education programs
(IEPs) aligned with state standards. Providing orientation and
mobility training as needed. Maintaining detailed records of
student progress and accommodations. Qualifications: Valid Texas
licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TX TVI).
Experience teaching visually impaired students in grades K-5, 6-8,
and 9-12. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to
work independently and adapt to varied school environments.
