Job Description:

The Material Handler position provides a unique opportunity for the growth of team members by allowing them to become familiar with the Guardiar line of products. Material Handlers for the E-commerce business will work closely with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, Production, and Logistics to service all inbound and outbound shipments in a safe, accurate, and timely manner and assist with the proper movement / placement of inventory while keeping their corresponding work areas clean and organized.--ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Use all tools / machinery in a safe, intentional, and effective mannerCommunicate all safety-related issues that arise to managementKeep all work areas clean and organizedEnsure proper movement of materials within the plant at all timesUse the ERP system to Print pick orders, BOL to fulfill ordersQuality check all orders and follow with the quality procedures and maintain documentationPack and print labels for UPS or FedEx ordersMaintain cycle counts and is accountable of the inventory that is on the 3PL.Provide spotting assistance when necessaryProperly locate, verify, pick, repackage and/or relabel (if necessary), and/or stage materials to be shippedProperly sign, date, and time-stamp all handled paperworkFollow all guidelines per the Distribution / E-commerce Department's SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)*Assist Receiving during initial put-away process once materials are received into inventory (if necessary)Assist Inventory Control with location, movement, repackaging, and/or relabeling of materials (if necessary)Manage and maintain proper documentation for damage material and communicate to the Plant Manager to determine next steps.--KEY PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS:Eliminate accidents related to improper use of tools / machineryShipping efficiency: improve accuracy and decrease quality issues on shipmentsReduction in required material inventory offsets after periodic inventory cycle countsProper handle of the product to eliminate damage--TRAITS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Reliable transportationExcellent attendancePunctualProactiveSelf-directed / disciplinedAccountableGoal-drivenTeam-orientedAbility to meet short deadlinesWillingness to work additional hours when necessaryWillingness to support other team members' assigned tasks when necessary--KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED:Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Excel a plus)Intermediate Android / iPhone skillsMRP / ERP system proficiency (IFS a plus)Good communication skillsGood organizational skillsAbility to meet work schedule (Monday thru Friday, some Saturdays, sometimes up to 12 hours)Ability to follow through on assigned tasksAbility to adjust priorities when necessaryAbility to perform with a sense of urgencyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work on non-climate environmentAbility to be on their feet for long periods of time and bend to pick up materialAbility to support other team members' assigned tasks when necessary--EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:High School Diploma / GEDExperience in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environmentLoad and Unload truck (box truck and flatbed)Forklift experience (sit down)--OSHA Regulations training a plusCompensation details: 19-22 Hourly WagePI28456a0156eb-25660-37756302
