Job SummaryThis position serves to leverage the use of systems and
technologies to provide learning resources and analytics to the
business. Prioritizes support of the learning management system
(LMS) as well as other products to host, deliver, track and report
on training. Collaborates with internal clients to meet the
technical training needs of the business. Operates as a technical
consultant to ensure the desired outcome is achieved efficiently
and effectively. Engages in a variety of processes from managing
company-wide training rollouts to delivering virtual classroom
event production. Essential Functions
- Serve as senior administrator for the corporate learning &
development team, including maintenance of LMS site web pages,
processes, data tracking and reporting, and related marketing
initiatives.
- Supports learning technology initiatives and provides technical
expertise for the programming of online content, such as webinars,
podcasts, streaming video, and mobile capabilities.
- Provides technical support for employees who inquire of
training needs, troubleshooting any technical exceptions or
maintenance to training requests.
- Participates in producing virtual classroom events handling the
technology so the facilitator can focus on delivering the training
content.
- Builds webpages as needed to provide access to learning content
and training programs for employees.
- Assists with custom web-based course publishing and testing,
including development of related test scripts and user
scenarios.
- Develops templates and graphics for use in delivering online
content and publications.
- Operates as a content organizer to ensure the maximized use and
update of vendor online resources.
- Assists with management of LMS web portals, including one for
contract employees.
- Collaborates with the Learning Content department to ensure
software utilized for design and development of training content
and resources are produced to be compatible with the company's LMS
or other hosting platforms (i.e., SharePoint, Microsoft Stream,
Teams, etc.).
- Collaborates with the company's Information Technology group to
ensure standard technology platforms are properly accessible to
employees/contractors. Essential Functions (cont.)
- Collaborates with clients to provide 3rd party vendor content
integration with the company's learning management system.
- Intuitively leverages various tools and creates process for
providing learning resources to the business.
- Consults with internal clients of the business the technical
logistics to host, deliver, and/or track online learning solutions
efficiently and effectively.
- Supports CenterPoint Energy compliance training owners for
training programs involving the LMS.
- Provides standard and customized reports and dashboards for
tracking training programs, providing analytics, and assisting
clients with information to make informed decisions.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements operational and
technological tools to improve efficiency and visibility to data in
the field.
- Analyzes data to identify trends, outliers and anticipate
future behavior.
- Creates, develops, and deploys useful advanced graphical
depictions of relevant data.
- Sources, collects, cleanses, and interprets data to gather
insights that have a business application.
- Works with team members to develop prototypes and translate
them into the production environment.
- Works to provide employees with training and resources for
hosting, delivering, tracking and reporting for Operator
Qualification and OSHA mandated standards. Education Description
- Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or
university.
- In lieu of a degree, will consider a combination of education
and related experience in learning management systems totaling four
(4) years, where each year of applicable college = 1 year and each
year of applicable learning management systems or associated
training work experience = 0.5 year. Experience in lieu of
education is in addition to the Experience requirement below.

- Requires a minimum of two years of experience with learning
management systems (LMS), supporting online learning or other
