JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resource Consultant III under the leadership of the Sr. Manager, HR & Talent will provide business essential HR partnership and support to Gulf States Toyota. The Consultant will 1) support the internal human resources employment, associate relations and compliance programs 2) consult with, coach and counsel managers and associates regarding processes, policies and performance management 3) provide support to assist in hiring top talent through partnership with the GST business in the creation of job descriptions; 4) provide administrative support for the processing of organizational changes; 5) manage all leave of absence cases, and 4) demonstrate consistent corporate commitment to the Values Statement.

Essential Functions

1) Responsible for the improvement, deployment and effectiveness of a broad range of Human Resources processes across the business.

2) Partners in the execution of HR initiatives as defined by the Sr. Manager, HR & Talent to drive results for the business.

3) Provides prompt, courteous service to all customers. Prioritizes and addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner.

4) Resolves conflicts and provides performance feedback and counseling on human resources matters for individuals or groups.

5) Works closely with Learning and Organizational Development, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits and other HR partners to streamline processes, implement change, and administer Human Resources services.

6) Provides staffing and recruiting support, assists in the creation of job descriptions and headcount approvals; implements tactics to select and maintain a diverse workforce. Initiates position requisitions.

7) Processes HR data change transactions timely and accurately for new hires, promotions, exits and all other organizational changes. Coordinates associated organizational announcements. Administers and manages GST field commissions process.

8) Facilitates training and development programs and team facilitations as needed.

9) Participates in initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of human resources processes; leads specific improvement initiatives.

10) Ensures compliance with legislative requirements and adherence with Human resources policies and processes. Partners with managers and associates to resolve issues and concerns.

11) Assists in conducting and documenting investigations for business.

12) Conducts new associate onboarding and exit interviews.

13) Manages all LOA (Leave of Absence) cases.

14) Supports and partners on other HR projects and initiatives as needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience requirements:

    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and five to eight years Human Resources experience with an emphasis in talent management and/or associate relations required. Solid competencies in the use of Human Resources management systems, databases, the internet and Microsoft Office Products. Demonstrates expert knowledge of Title VII, ADA and EEOC Laws.

    Physical Requirements

    The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment:

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels. Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
