seeking a dynamic and flexible Shift Manager to join our leadership
team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations
across all departments, including front-of-house, back-of-house,
and events. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills,
the ability to adapt quickly, and a proactive approach to
problem-solving. This is a hands-on role that includes opening and
closing duties, team supervision, and operational support wherever
needed. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the shift's operations across
all departments, ensuring high service standards and operational
efficiency. Serve as the acting manager on duty, handling guest
concerns, staff needs, and operational decisions. Open or close the
venue, including cash handling, system audits, and securing the
premises. Support and lead team members by providing guidance,
coaching, and accountability. Ensure proper staffing levels and
assist with shift coverage as needed. Communicate effectively with
kitchen, bar, and floor teams to ensure smooth coordination.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance
with company and health regulations. Uphold The Elmont’s service
standards and help reinforce company culture and expectations. Work
collaboratively with senior management to implement improvements
and resolve operational issues. Qualifications: 2 years of
experience in a supervisory or shift lead role in hospitality,
restaurants, or events. Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to
changing priorities. Comfortable working in all areas of the
business, including FOH and BOH. Availability to work a flexible
schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be
dependable, professional, and team-oriented. Must be able to lift
up to 50lbs Preferred Skills: POS system and cash handling
experience Food Handler and TABC certifications (or ability to
obtain) Requirements: Work is primarily performed on-site at The
Elmont, which includes swim club, banquet, and restaurant
facilities. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, often
featuring loud music, large crowds, and a high-energy atmosphere.
The noise level can range from moderate to high depending on the
event or time of day. Team members should be comfortable working in
both indoor and outdoor settings and in varying weather conditions.
The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping,
twisting, climbing stairs, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Extended
periods of physical activity and being on your feet are typical
during shifts, especially during high-volume events or peak dining
hours.
