Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’
speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions. - Develop and
implement individualized treatment plans to address communication
and swallowing disorders. - Provide therapy sessions to improve
residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and
swallowing abilities. - Monitor and document residents’ progress,
adjusting treatment plans as necessary. - Collaborate with
interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, physicians, and
occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care. - Educate
residents and their families about communication strategies and
swallowing safety. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in
compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. - Current
state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills .- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work
effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Compassionate,
patient-focused approach to care. - Knowledge of relevant
