Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in this role: - You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients - You will be responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for Oncology/Medical Intermediate Care Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment. - You will be responsible for assessment of patient with telemetry monitoring. - You will be responsible for drawing blood from venous lines. - You will utilize special feeding tubes (gastronomy, jejunostomy, nasogastric). - You will be responsible for administering and monitoring chemotherapy/biotherapy agents if credentialed. What qualifications you will need: - 1-year of clinical experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required - Oncology, Cancer, BMT, Bone Marrow Transplant, Chemo, Hematology - Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required - BSN is required - Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) - Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) - ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred - ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification within six months of hire with one year of experience - ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification recommended HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 530 bed hospital where sophisticated, world-class medicine meets the comfort, care and convenience of a community hospital.
