USPI Memorial Hermann Bay Area Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Endo Pre/Post Op, Circulator RN to join our team. We have 1 OR room and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.Pre-operative Duties

• Assess the status of patients' health in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristband
• Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order
• Determine the surgeon and procedure being carried out
• Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
• Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staffPost-operative Duties
  • Assess patients' condition after a surgery has been performed
  • Ensure that all vitals are within normal range
  • Log all findings in patients' files
  • Answer patients' questions and ensure that they are kept comfortable
  • Monitor patients for condition changes and report any changes to the doctor
  • Initiate patient education programs to ensure that both patients and families are educated on procedures and medications
  • Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergenciesOR Circulating Duties
    • Assisting with equipment
    • Serving as a patient advocate and ensuring patient safety at all times
    • Assisting with positioning the patient
    • Monitoring the patient's condition throughout the entire surgical process and acting quickly to respond to any changes
    • Maintaining the sterile field at all times
    • Exhibiting skillful clinical judgment and assessment skills#USP-RN#USP-123Required Skills:
      • Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
      • Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.
      • Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting or ASC setting
      • Current American Heart BLS certification.USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
