As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will:
This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.
Market Expansion & Network Development: Work closely with the US
management team to create and maintain a robust network of contacts
to support the companies expansion strategy.
Sales Pipeline & Relationship Management: Meet and develop
relationships with existing contacts while continuously building
and nurturing a strong pipeline of sales leads and customers.
Opportunity Identification & Conversion: Actively identify suitable
business opportunities and nurture new sales leads to secure
business.
Marketing & Communication: Liaise with Marketing and Communications
to create and publish relevant materials and messaging across
appropriate media platforms.
Solution Development & Bidding: Collaborate closely with Project
Management to develop comprehensive solutions and prepare bids for
presentation to potential customers.
Internal Advocacy & Support: Support the development of business
cases for presentation to senior management.
Customer Engagement & Deal Closure: Present to customers and serve
as a key liaison during RFP/bidding processes. Assist in
negotiations and successfully close deals.
Implementation Handover & Post-Sales Support: Ensure thorough
handover of projects to operations and maintain strong customer
relationships during and post-implementation.
Account Growth: Identify further opportunities to increase business
with existing customers.
Global Collaboration: Collaborate with global counterparts to offer
seamless, single global solutions.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and industry dynamics
that impact operations and sales efforts within target
industries.
Industry Representation: Actively participate in conferences,
events, and represent the company in trade associations and similar
forums.
Networking: Maintain a strong network with prospects, customers,
and competitors.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in Logistics and Business Management.
Knowledge in commercial (sales) or business development activities
in the provision of logistical services around the Houston / Gulf
Coast market.
Experience with the chemical/bulk commodities industry and rail
logistics is highly beneficial.
Very strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong research and analytical skills to identify gaps or
opportunities in the marketplace.
Fluent in English with good writing skills.
IT proficient, especially MS Office
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000/year.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
