Randall Reed’s Planet Ford is seeking skilled and motivated medium, heavy-duty truck & equipment mobile service field technician. As a Mobile Service Field Technician, you will play a crucial role performing hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and providing excellent customer service in the field. Job Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on medium and heavy-duty vehicles including heavy-duty equipment. Diagnose and repair issues in a timely and efficient manner. Perform preventative maintenance. Respond to service calls from customers in the designated service area. Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement effective solutions. Provide technical support and guidance to customers on vehicles and equipment operation and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities. Generate service reports and documentation for each job. Communicate effectively with manager and other team members regarding work status and customer interactions. Interact professionally with customers to understand their concerns and address inquiries. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring satisfaction with completed repairs and maintenance Stay current with industry trends, product updates, and technological advancements. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct. Job Requirements Minimum 5 years professional automotive repair experience. Proven experience as a Mobile Service Technician or similar role. Have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to read/comprehend written instructions. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Positive, friendly attitude, along with a high customer service mentality. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time. Willingness to travel within the designated service area. Must have a valid driver license, clean driving record and be able to operate manual transmissions All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing, background checks, and drug test. High school diploma or equivalent. ASE certifications or technical school is a plus.
