Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. Provide specialized instruction to elementary students
with intellectual disabilities in a full-time, contracted role
within an elementary school setting in Houston, TX. This position
supports students academic and life skills development, operating
under the Texas Education Agency standards and requires immediate
credentialing completion. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored
lesson plans to elementary students with intellectual disabilities.
Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs, promoting
independence and academic growth. Collaborate with support staff
and families to create a comprehensive educational experience.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom
activities. Comply with all district policies, including completion
of fingerprinting and drug screening. Qualifications: Valid Special
Education EC-12 certification for Texas through TEA. Experience
working with elementary-aged students with intellectual
disabilities. Ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively.
Completion of district-required fingerprinting and drug screening.
Strong communication and organizational skills. Location and
Schedule: Houston, TX, one elementary school (location to be
determined). Contract position starting ASAP through May 26, 2026.
